Epica terminan de grabar su nuevo trabajo "Design Your Universe" (2009)

Los holandeses Epica entraron el pasado 02 de marzo a los estudios Gate de Wolfsburg (Alemania) para grabar lo que será su próximo disco de estudio con el productor Sascha Paeth. El grupo ya ha terminado de grabar la continuación de su trabajo "The Divine Conspiracy" (2007), el cual saldría en septiembre u octubre vía Nuclear Blast.

En el disco colabora Amanda Somerville, la cantante americana que sustituyó a la vocalista de Epica, Simone Simmons, que sufrió algunos problemas de salud, en la última gira americana del grupo junto a Symphony X.

Epica revelaron supuestamente en una entrevista el título de su próxima entrega, el cual sería "Design Your Universe" (2009).

El sexteto grabará el concierto que ofrecerán el próximo 17 de octubre en el Metal Female Voices Fest VII en el Oktoberhallen de Wieze (Bélgica) para un posible DVD.

Epica incorporaron recientemente a sus filas al guitarrista Isaac Delahaye (ex God Dethroned), que sustituye al fugado Ad Sluijter.

La última entrega de la banda fue un doble disco en directo "The Classical Conspiracy" (2009) publicado el pasado 08 de mayo a través del sello Nuclear Blast. El material se grabó en Miskolc (Hungría) el 14 de junio del 2008 durante el Festival Internacional de Ópera de Miskolc. La banda interpretó 45 minutos de adaptaciones al metal de composiciones clásicas y bandas sonoras acompañados por una orquesta y coro, acompañadas por versiones sinfónicas de los temas del grupo.

The Dutchmen 02 Epica came last March at the Gate studios in Wolfsburg (Germany) to record what will be his next studio album with producer Sascha Paeth. The group has already finished recording the continuation of his work "The Divine Conspiracy" (2007), which would come in September or October via Nuclear Blast.
